The Ministry of Sport Hands Over the Active Centre No. 2 to FUDELA

Stepping foot on this pitch and being in this space designed by FUDELA allows me to understand that lives can be transformed through sport. The Ministry of Sport of Ecuador is proud of what you have created, and without doubt you have traced the route of sport by teaching values and principles”, said Sebastian Palacios, Minister of Sport.

On a special day full of happiness, sport, reflection, and gratitude, the symbolic handover of the Active Centre No. 2, located in Iñaquito, was made to FUDELA as a concession for the next 13 years.

This integral sports and development centre will be a point of reference with innovative and differentiating spaces for children, teenagers, adults, families, and businesses.

This moment was also shared by María Belén Aguirre Crespo, Viceminister of the Ministry of Sport, Magda Medina, Deputy Representative of UNHCR (the UN Agency for Refugees in Ecuador), Andrés Tapia, Head of the Socio-Economic Inclusion and Labor Migration Unit of IOM – UN Migration in Ecuador, other authorities from the Ministry of Sport, and other participants from FUDELA.

FUDELA continues to transform lives and generate opportunities through sport for development, together with the Ministry of Sport and other strategic partnerships.
